Processing at origin is the impact.
Every tonne shelled in Bondoukou instead of overseas is wages, skills and a by-product economy that stays in the Gontougo region. That is the whole reason the company is being built this way.
Three effects, and how we will measure them.
None of these are achievements yet. They are the outcomes the plant is designed to produce, with the metric we will report against once it runs.
Farmer income
A registered, traceable channel instead of an anonymous spot market.
METRIC — registered farmers, share of volume bought direct
Industrial jobs
Shelling, peeling, grading and packing are labour-intensive steps — performed in Gontougo, not abroad.
METRIC — jobs created, share held by women
By-product value
Shells become biochar and energy through Pyro-Green instead of being burned or dumped.
METRIC — tonnes of shell recovered

Cashew shells into biochar and energy.
Pyro-Green is run by the Lhacienda Esperanza Foundation in Bondoukou. It takes shell waste from cashew processing and converts it into biochar — a soil amendment — and into usable energy, in the region where the waste is produced.
It is in its launch phase, and it is the part of the group already working on the ground.
What we will not do.
No child labour in our chain
Sourcing limited to registered cooperatives and buying stations under our own control.
No unverifiable claims
A certification is published once it is issued and can be checked by a buyer’s audit team — not before.
No opaque intermediaries
Lots are registered at source. If we cannot trace it, we do not ship it.
